FAQ

Why does the face camera request for the user to rotate to portrait?

The server that processes the images outputted from the sdk is currently only set up to properly handle portrait images. While some landscape images pass without issue, we can't guarantee that all tests will work with landscape images. Due to this we have made the decision to only capture faces in portrait. As further improvements to the server happen we may eventually be able to remove this restraint.

As of 1.4.0, the face camera no longer needs to be locked to portrait, but will still not capture in landscape. Instead when opened in landscape it will now show a prompt asking the user to rotate to portrait.

Will SmartCapture-Face detect if the eyes are closed?

Not currently. We are looking to introduce this functionality in future releases.
